Front Singer Jurgen Bernaerts

The Mohill band have been building a reputation around the Baltimore area as one of the top cover bands in town. They are well known for their ability to play a wide variety of different musical styles so that they can come up with something that is appropriate for any occasion. The bands lead singer is Jurgen Bernaerts a highly experienced singer who has been playing in cover bands since he was in high school.

Jurgen Bernaerts was born in West-Bonn, Hei-strasse in Germany but his family moved to Baltimore when he was a young child. He had always been interested in music and like most kids he got his start by singing in the school choir. He started while in elementary school and continued right through to high school. While he was in high school he also got involved with some friends in a garage band. However not really thinking a career in music to be an option Bernaerts went off to college to study to become an engineer.

It was while he was at college that Jurgen got his first taste of life as a professional musician. He began singing in a cover band with some friends. It was mainly something that they did for fun but they did manage to get a few paying jobs. While the experience was fun it was hardly a sign that a musical career was in Bernaerts future. Instead he finished up his degree and got a job with a civil engineering company in Baltimore. Jurgen's love of music however never faded and he was soon looking for opportunities to continue to sing.

Bernaerts would eventually find some friends who also had an interest in music and they formed their own cover band. It was not a particularly serious endeavour; they played a couple of nights a week at a local pub. After a couple of years however the opportunity came to audition for a serious cover band that performed full time. While the chance to make a living playing music was exciting to Bernaerts the idea of giving up his job as an engineer was more than a little frightening. Ultimately he made the decision that he would go for it and pursue his dreams making his living as a musician. The result was a job as the singer for the Mohill Band.

For the last five years now Jurgen Bernearts has been the lead singer for the Mohill band as it has started to build a reputation around Baltimore. This is largely the result of the huge variety of songs that they are able to play. The band has all kinds of different influences and can perform songs in almost any genre. More importantly they can do it well. The Mohill band is made up of four very serious professional musicians who make their living by performing.
