Some of the better know ones are Lough Allen, Lough Rynn, Creenagh Lake, Garadice Lake, Cloonturk lake, Fearglas Lake, and Kildra Lake, to mention but a few. Without doubt the biggest of the many rivers that crisscross the area is the River Shannon, which is only 5Km away.
